Having made his Grand Prix debut at this very circuit 12 months earlier, Michael Schumacher drove his Benetton-Ford-B192 to a maiden F1 victory at the Belgian Grand Prix. Schumacher would go on to achieve a further 5 F1 wins at Spa-Francorchamps.
