At the European GP, with rain forecast, GP debutant Markus Winkelhock (Spyker-Ferrari) was the only driver to start on wets. He led laps 2-4, then the race was red-flagged. At the restart, Winkelhock led another 3 laps, but would retire (hydraulics) on lap 13.
